About our Investment Process
In order to become a member of the community, there is a monetary and seed commitment, as well as an interview with Urban Energy Works. Applicants for Creekside Farms must supply 5 different varieties of non-hybrid, non-GMO seeds at a suggested quantity of 60 seeds of each variety (a total of 300 seeds) to go towards establishing a sustainable seed library. These seeds can come from your own garden, or from local seed companies such as the Ann Arbor Seed Co. and Nature and Nurture Seeds, just make sure that wherever they come from, they are properly labeled and dated.
In addition to the investment, there is also an interview, conducted between Urban Energy Works and potential residents. The purpose of the interview is to ensure that residents of this neighborhood are the right fit for the vision of the community.
